Brooks Brothers goes to Canada
Thom Brown
Thom Browne 44, grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He attended University of Notre Dame, where he received a degree in business. After an attempt at acting in Los Angeles, Browne moved to NYC in 1997 for a job as a salesman in Giorgio Armani. In 2006 Brooks Brothers partnered with Browne where he showcased high-end collection named Black Fleece, and by 2008 Thom Browne and Brooks Brothers annouced their decision to continue their partnership for another three years. Browne was named by CFDA 2006 Menswear Designer of the year and 2008 GQ Designer of the year.

President Obama's Choice Designer

Brooks Brothers founded in 1818 is the oldest men's clothier in the United States. They had a press release earlier this year praising President Obama for wearing one of their coat along with a cashmere scarf and gloves on the occasion of his inauguration on January 20, 2009

At his second inauguration, United States President Abraham Lincoln wore a coat specially crafted for him featuring an eagle and the inscription "One Country, One Destiny". Brooks Brothers has an illustrious list of presidential patrons. Ulysses S Grant, Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt wore Brooks Brothers when they took their oaths of office, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Herbert Hoover, John F Kennedy, Gerald Ford, William J Clinton, and George W Bush also wore Brooks Brothers at various public and private occasions thoughout their tenures in office.
